Buffy goes to the masoleum to find a way down to the lair to rescue Jessie.  She meets Angel there, who warns her again, and gives her some helpful hints on how to find Jessie.  Xander tags along at the last minute.  They find Jessie, but it turns out he was bait, and a vampire.  Xander and Buffy escape and head back to the library.  Later, the gang heads to the Bronze, where the Harvest is going to take place.  There Luke, who is the Master's right hand vamp and the "vessel" that will enable the Master to feed, has already begun the slaughter.

Buffy and the gang break in, and Buffy fights with Luke while Giles and Willow get everyone evacuated.  Xander ends up accidentally killing Jessie, and Buffy 'outwits' and kills Luke.  All is returned to normal.  Remarkably, none of the citizens of Sunnydale remember exactly what happened the next day. The Master remains trapped in his lair, and plotting revenge.

Flaws:   When Buffy and Xander are down in the tunnels after having found Jessie, the eyes of the vamps sent to capture them glow in the dark.  They never do that again, all throughout the series.

Thoughts on the episode:  Basically, Welcome to the Hellmouth and The Harvest combined make up the BTVS movie.  Think about it...you've got Buffy trying to run away from her Destiny, but ultimately giving in and doing the right thing, preventing a major catastrophe.  You've got the guy-friend (Xander in the series, Luke Perry in the movie) drawn into the battle against his best friend (Jessie/David Arquette).  Substitute the Bronze for the Spring Fling, or whatever, and 'oila.

Best Line

When Xander and Buffy find Jessie, Jessie says "I am not okay, on an EPIC scale!"
